Process

The following is an overview of the production process, which is divided into key stages.
We'll use this structure to design a workflow and schedule what works best for the project.

  • The primary focus at this stage is to discover and understand the why and what of the project and develop a well-defined brief with specific, measurable goals. We will then create a feasible schedule and project plan to get the ball rolling.

  • We'll explore the visual style and script content, establishing the look and feel and sharing some key style frames. We'll also be working on the script, which will be the foundation of the piece.

  • Building on the script, we'll incorporate visual ideas that will enrich the narrative. We'll plan the animation scenes and fine-tune the script and style as needed.

  • To ensure that we're all on the same page with the ideas, we'll design the scenes and present a visual storyboard. The storyboard will provide in-depth descriptions of the movement and audio.

Once that's done, we'll create and get all the assets ready for animation.

  • After animating each scene, we'll build transitions to link them together. We'll also incorporate complementary movement and other details to increase the impact.

  • We'll be selective in our choice of sound effects, aiming to support and embellish the animation.

Next, we'll bring all the audio elements together with a final mix and master.

  • To complete the project, we'll create and share the final deliverables, and then hold a project debrief where we collect feedback on how the project has been received and how it's performing.

This will help us continue to learn and evolve, making us even more effective collaborators in the future.

A typical project will take between 4 to 10 weeks from inception to delivery.
This can vary depending on a number of factors including deliverables and overall style complexity.
